Christophe Piednoël is appointed as Director of Communication, Institutional Relations and Marketing at Saur Group

Louis-Roch Burgard has appointed Christophe Piednoël as the new Director of Communication, Institutional Relations and Marketing of the Saur Group, and a member of its executive committee. Christophe Piednoël (52) holds a Masters degree in communication and environment from the University of Paris VII, and graduated from the Insead-Cedep Management Program in 1998; he has 25 years' experience in communication and sustainable development. He began his career at ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency) before moving to the Suez Group where he occupied a series of posts between 1994 and 2004: Head of the Press Service, Head of International Communication at Lyonnaise des Eaux, Director of External Communication at Suez Environnement, and Head of Environment and Sustainable Development, also at Suez Environnement. In 2004, he was appointed as Director of Communication and Marketing at the Institut Curie, moving on in 2008 to AXA as External Communication Director. In 2010, he moved to the French rail network operator Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) to head up its communication, external relations and consulting department. In June 2015, he was appointed as Director of Information at SNCF. Christophe Piednoël will be active in his new role from 15 May. He will report directly to Louis-Roch Burgard, who has been Executive Chairman of the Group since January this year.
