Estelle Grelier is appointed President of the French Professional Federation of Water Companies

A remarkable professional career

Estelle Grelier has developed and implemented her commitments throughout her career, in both the public and private sectors. With almost 20 years of commitment to public life, she has held positions of responsibility, including European Deputy, National Deputy and Secretary of State for Territorial Collectivities. This wealth of experience has enabled her to acquire recognised expertise in public sector issues and economic attractiveness, which she is now putting to work for the Saur group.

Since joining Saur in 2019, Estelle Grelier has played a key role in the company’s strategic transformation, initiated by Patrick Blethon. Her leadership is marked by a clear strategic vision and a determination to promote sustainable and innovative solutions for the efficient and responsible management of water resources.

On 6 May, the AFL General Meeting also ratified her appointment to the Supervisory Board of the bank dedicated to financing local public investment. This appointment highlights her extensive experience of local government and her ongoing commitment to local authorities: deputy mayor of Fécamp, she chaired the Fécamp Caux Littoral Conurbation from 2001 to 2014 and was Vice-President of the Haute-Normandie Regional Council from 2004 to 2009.

A new mission: the Presidency of the French Professional Federation of Water Companies

In addition to her duties at Saur, Estelle Grelier will now take on the chairmanship of the French Professional Federation of Water Companies, a crucial step in strengthening the impact of the water sector in France. As President, Estelle Grelier will be responsible for meeting crucial challenges, particularly in the area of water pricing. The impact of climate change on the economic models of water and wastewater services is a major issue, with a significant increase in investment forecast for the coming years.

Thanks to her experience in the sector and the strength of her convictions, she will be able to devise ambitious models for the water services of tomorrow.
