A long history in Vendée

Saur France, with its historical roots in Vendée, is strengthening its ties with this department by building on trusted partnerships. Since setting up its regional headquarters in La Roche-sur-Yon in 1935, followed by its first drinking water distribution contract in Challans in 1936, Saur has always been at the heart of local water management initiatives. With emblematic projects such as the construction of the Angle Guignard dam in 1951 and the Mervent dam in 1959, the company has contributed to the sustainable development of the region.

Saur France is therefore particularly proud to have worked with Vendée Eau since its inception, and long before that with the various inter-municipal syndicates responsible for supplying drinking water. Today, the company continues to innovate and diversify its services, remaining true to its public service mission and its deep attachment to Vendée.

Operational control centre and customer care: major assets for providing the best possible support to local authorities and users

In its operational control centres, Saur France brings together all the know-how and expertise of its teams in a single location to provide rapid and effective responses to its customers and all users, thanks to a 24/7 management of service performance.

Its teams, working day in, day out, to ensure optimum quality of service, rely on a number of digital tools developed by Saur France and its partners, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, to optimise the management of water resources in the region (leak detection, predictive maintenance of networks, etc.).

Thanks to the resources deployed in its operational control centres, Saur France can guarantee its customers personalised and effective support tailored to the specific characteristics of each region, enabling local authorities to manage their water resources more efficiently and sustainably.

In order to guarantee the privileged interactions that are essential for high-quality support and an in-depth understanding of local issues, the La Roche-sur-Yon offices are open to customers Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and in the afternoon by appointment from 2pm to 5pm.

A regional commitment to monitoring bathing water quality

In the Vendée region, as in many other areas along the French coast, Saur France supports all local authorities wishing to monitor the quality of bathing water, particularly in summer.

Throughout the summer season, dedicated teams are mobilised to ensure that the bathing areas favoured by residents and holidaymakers are monitored 7 days a week, thereby preventing the risk of pollution.

Every year, from 15 June to 15 September, Saur France provides a laboratory dedicated to bacteriological analysis in La Roche-sur-Yon and Les Sables d’Olonne. In this way, the company undertakes to provide local authorities with a rapid assessment of the quality of bathing water in their area. Thanks to its advanced resources, Saur is able to carry out analyses and obtain results in less than 12 hours, compared with 48 hours using conventional methods.

"The inauguration of our new operational control centre in La Roche-sur-Yon is an important moment for Saur France. This investment strengthens our expertise and our capacity for action to support local authorities and users in the sustainable and innovative management of water resources. I know I can count on the professionalism, experience and commitment of the employees of Saur France, who are deeply attached to the Vendée region, to apply the Group's best practices and know-how.
