Saur at Armenian Fortnight event in Marseille

As part of the Armenian Fortnight event held in Marseille, the Group joined with Charles Aznavour at opening of the olive grove planted to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide; an event that underlines the strong links between the Group and Armenia. Represented by Michel Fourré, Didier Paris and Patrick Allano, the Group took part in the official ceremony to open The Armenian Genocide Centenary Olive Grove in the park of the Maison Blanche city hall in Marseille, which is home to France’s largest Armenian community (90,000 people).

Guest of honour Charles Aznavour, who symbolises both French chanson and the exceptional career of an artist originally from Armenia, was joined by many Marseille city councillors, including Guy Tessier, member of the French Parliament and President of Marseille Provence Métropole, and Lionel Royer Perraut, Mayor of the city’s 9th and 10th arrondissements. Deputy Mayor Richard Findykian publicly recognised the quality of work done by the Saur Group in Armenia, and the strong links between the company and the country, which were underlined by our presence in Marseille.
