At Saur, we believe that collective performance is built on inclusion, respect, and commitment. With this conviction in mind, we are proud to partner with Special Olympics France (SOF), an organization that works every day to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through sport.

SOF Initiatives

Special Olympics France (SOF) is part of the global Special Olympics movement, founded by Eunice Kennedy Shriver in 1968 to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through sport. It enables thousands of athletes to take part in adapted physical activities and compete in sporting events within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Thought a wide range of initiatives, including:

  • Regional and national sporting events;
  • Inclusion awareness and education programs;
  • Opportunities for athletes with and without disabilities to train and compete together;
  • Initiatives that promote equal access to sport for all.

Saur’s commitment alongside SOF

Saur’s employees have had the opportunity to get involved through various initiatives. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering inclusion and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and engagement.

It encourages our employees to take an active role in initiatives that promote diversity, social cohesion, and equal participation.

This partnership reflects Saur’s purpose and its commitment to making a positive impact beyond water-related services. Here are the various initiatives we have been working on:

  • Awareness-raising activities and initiatives.

Unified Football World Cup Paris 2026

Organized by SOF in Paris, at Stade Charléty and Paris International University, from July 6 to 11, 2026, the Unified Football World Cup brought together more than 500 athletes and coaches from around the world.

The competition featured teams composed of players with intellectual disabilities and players without disabilities competing side by side on the field.

Unified football enables everyone to play, develop their skills and succeed alongside their team-mates, regardless of their differences.

Congratulations to the teams who excelled during the tournament, and a tribute to all the athletes. Thank you to SOF for its ongoing commitment to inclusion through sport.
